Vick's VapoRub for Toenail Fungus?

Bonnie - There was a Health Q&A in th 7/31/05 Sun-Times saying that Vick's VapoRub is commonly used "off-label" as a treatment for toenail fungus. Considering the product contains camphor, eucalyptus oil, and menthol, it makes sense. A physician who recommends the remedy suggests cutting the toenail as short as possible, then covering it with a thin film of Vick's VapoRub twice daily for 4-8 weeks. Unless allergic to one of the ingredienets, it cannot hurt to try it.
