University of Rochester researchers used polyphenols from fermented grape skins added to a petri dish teeming with strep, saw production of the germs reduced by 85%. Extracts from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir worked the best.
Bonnie - this is one reason why many of the Fench wealthy and daily wine drinkers didn't get the plague!
