Whole Foods Market, which is voluntarily recalling more than 1 million pounds of ground beef because of a possible E. coli outbreak in fresh ground beef it sold from June 2 to Wednesday, August 6. The beef apparently came from Coleman Natural Beef's Nebraska Beef processing plant.
At this time, no Coleman Natural Beef fresh ground beef products from the Nebraska Beef processing facility are available in any Whole Foods Market stores.
Steve - we were out of town when this occurred. It is not surprising because Coleman sold their interests to a larger supplier who had a meat processing plant that had a long history of USDA violations.
