An analysis of the diets of children and teens in the United States showed they drink, on average, 235 "empty" calories in sugar-sweetened beverages each day, according to a study in Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.
Steve - there are numerous ways to enhance the flavor of water. Get naturally sparkling. Add a dash of fresh-squeezed lemon, lime, or pomegranate juice. Just avoid sweetening it unless it is stevia.
