Epigenetic highlights

Journal of Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics is the first and only journal dedicated to this important and burgeoning field. Here are the highlights from the fall issue:
  • Empirical data is greatly lacking and needed for the lifestyle genetic tests being sold in the marketplace. For now, stricter regulation of commercial exploitation is needed.

  • A diet high in whey protein consumption significantly modifies adipose (fat) tissue gene expression, hence, could stimulate weight loss or maintain normal weight.
