FDA official goes out on limb against BP drugs

Steve: How long will it be before this official is relieved of his duties. When 7.6 billion is in the balance, look out. Bottom line: where there is smoke, there is fire with these class of meds.

I read that same article in the Wall Street Journal. My husband died last July as a result of lung cancer (carcinoma). He had been taking Benicar for years. Checking his records, the earliest Benicar prescription I could find was from November 2005. He was definitely taking this medication before that date and continued to take it up until his death. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in April of 2009. He had always been healthy until then and there was no incidence of cancer in his immediate family. I feel there could be a connection between Benicar and his cancer.
