Black tea lowers blood pressure

Drinking three cups of black tea each day for six months lowered both diastolic and systolic blood pressure by 2 to 3 mm Hg, according to new research in Archives of Internal Medicine. Those differences would be associated with a 10% reduction in the prevalence of hypertension and a 7% to 10% decrease in the risk of cardiovascular disease.
